doggy food trucks - an emerging trend?
Food trucks are definitely popular among humans, but what about food trucks for our awesome doggos?!
Just imagine, taking your pup to the dog park and after you’re both all played out, stopping at one of these awesome doggy food trucks and getting a delicious snack!
The Seattle Barkery - Seattle, WA
The Seattle Barkery is probably the cutest doggy food truck there is. If I was a dog you would definitely find me there every day. They specialize in doggy treats, and they even have doggy beer, wine and prosecco available for all those fancy doggies. Be there in a prosecco!
Some of the treats they have to offer are: mini cheesy donuts, ice cream sundaes, pb & pumpkin pretzels, turkey patties, beefy carrot sticks and more! They are all made with human grade ingredients, so technically you can share the treats with your pup…. If you’re selfish like that!
Pup Sundae in an edible bowl….. I’ll take 2!
They also have a human menu, which is a totally awesome! That menu has coffee, hot cocoa, teas and pastries. YUM!
Alice's Gourmet Wonderland - Orange County, CA
This food truck is a master of healthy treats and meals for dogs. They offer a wide variety of super cute decorated treats. Many of the treats are wheat-free and hypoallergenic for pups with food allergies. They have a nice mix of different types of jerky, too!
Their frozen yogurt looks amazingly delicious and the flavors are definitely on point! They have pumpkin flavored frozen yogurt, banana and peanut butter, strawberry and banana, carob and bananas, and a peanut butter and local honey flavor!
You can find a calendar of their locations on their website, under the events tab. They are out and about 2 – 5 times a week! The owner, Jana, usually has her 2 huskies in the truck helping her, too!
Fido to Go - Chicago, IL
Fido to go, a big yellow bus, is serving up some super yummy treats for your doggos!
They have non-perishable treats like dried meats and dog biscuits. They also have Doggie frozen yogurt, aka Fi Yo. Get it, like fro yo! So cute.
They have tons of different flavors like; bacon cheeseburger, PB & Vanilla twist, pork chops and applesauce, PB banana bacon, and goat, yes real goat.
They also make custom doggy cakes, with many different flavor combos, colors, and icing flavors to choose from! They post their schedule and where they will be on their Facebook page.
If you're in the Chicago area with your pup, this is a must do!
Pets Well Pantry - Tulsa, OK
Pets Well Pantry is a little different than the other food trucks. Pets Well Pantry is all about feeding dogs handcrafted, organic pet food. It is made in a restaurant and it's human-grade. They have a wide variety of items like treats, full meals and wellness products.
You can find their schedule for their local food truck events on their website! They go to adoption events frequently, so make sure and check them out if you are in the area with a hungry pup!
Hungry Paws - Raleigh, North Carolina
Hungry Paws travels to different locations all around Raleigh, North Carolina. They make peanut butter treats, which contain no wheat, corn or soy, YAY! They have decorated treats and plain treats, and they also have a new menu item, pup-cup frozen yogurt. For the sophisticated furry friends, they also stock doggy wine and beer.
They travel to a lot of different events including: dog friendly brewery events, Yappy Hours and more. Most of the events are on the weekends, but they have some events during the week as well.
Although dog food trucks aren’t as popular as human food trucks, there are still plenty of cute and fun independently owned specialty pet shops where you can get a lot of the same things! Most cities have a specialty pet shop, where you can find pupcakes, special (and adorable) dog cookies, and even a birthday cake!
If you can’t find any specialty pet stores, try your local bakery! Just like butchers sell bones for doggos, your bakery might make specialty items just for dogs!
